This is a California course leading to a California permit. It has no application to a UK driving licence or DVSA theory test.

What It Covers
The classroom component California requires before a provisional permit is issued — road rules and signage, right of way, sharing the road, hazard awareness, and the laws around alcohol, drugs and distracted driving.
Great For
California teens aged 15½ and over working toward a provisional permit, and parents arranging the required education for a learner.
Where This Fits in the California Process
California requires drivers education before a teen can apply for a provisional permit, followed by behind-the-wheel training and a supervised practice period before the road test. This course covers the first part only — the classroom hours.
The in-car training is a separate booking, and the DMV sets the permit and practice requirements independently. Check the current rules on the DMV site rather than relying on any provider's summary, since requirements change.
Provider Licensing
Coastline Academy holds California DMV licence E2115, which is what makes the course count toward the state requirement. Uncertified online courses do not.
