This Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) course will be delivered in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. The course is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding and appreciation of your responsibilities when it comes to managing safety on a construction site.

Delivery Method
This SMSTS course is delivered in a traditional classroom setting in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, PE1 5TX.

CITB Exam
Attendance is required for the full 5 days, with the 35-minute exam on the last day. There are assessment exercises throughout the course using the XA6 SMSTS Workbook. The exam consists of 25 questions with 18 multiple choice and 7 short answer written questions, with a pass mark of 81%. For the last 15 minutes you can use your SMSTS (GE700) and XA6 workbook.
Certification
The CITB SMSTS certificate takes 2 – 3 weeks and will be emailed to you. The certificate lasts for 5 years after which the SMST Refresher 2-day course will need to be undertaken before the existing certificate expires.
Legislation within the construction industry, along with the culture that underpins it, is changing from quarter to quarter, so attending regular refresher programmes is the only way to ensure that you are keeping up to date with the latest rules and regulations.

Prerequisites
There are no previous qualifications required to take this course.
Prior Studying
You can attend the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course if you wish, however it is not an essential requirement.

For accredited courses a certificate will be sent directly to you from the appropriate awarding body.
All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone, an internet connection and Zoom.
To attend a remote online course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.
