Course Aim
This ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport course is designed to provide contractor site personnel with an underpinning knowledge of health and safety to enable them to work on a site more safely with lower risk to themselves and others.
Consisting of theory multiple choice exams following completion of each module.
Who Should Attend?
This CCNSG Safety Passport course is designed for anyone working within the Oil and Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Engineering, Installation, Maintenance and Renewables sectors and is also useful for Managers, Supervisors and Operatives including contractor personnel.
Learning Outcomes
The ECITB CCNSG Safety Passport course covers the following areas so the learner will:
- Have an awareness of Health & Safety legislation, regulations and safe working practices and procedures
- Understand the safe use of tools and equipment in different working environments
- Understand the safe working practices and safe solutions to problems and emergencies
- Be aware of their personal site safety responsibilities
Modules Will Cover
- Health & safety legislation including different stakeholder responsibilities
- Approved codes of safe practice
- Consequences of poor safety practices
- Risk assessments, method statements, permit to work systems, local procedures and safe systems of work
- Hazards, risks and procedures
- Fire Safety, Manual Handling, working at height, tools and equipment, confined spaces, hazardous substances, lifting operations, asbestos/radiation and site traffic
- Dangers of slips, trips and falls
- Types of signs and warnings
- Environmental issues
- PPE requirements
- Incident reporting
- Attitudes & behaviours
- Mental Health & equality
- Minimising risks from different hazards
Maximum attendees – 10 people
The course contains of theory-based learning. There will be a written assessment conducted and assessed by the instructor to ensure competency has been achieved
Certification
Upon successful completion, the candidate will be issued with certification by the ECITB, valid for 3 years.
