This classroom IOSH Working Safely course is a basic introductory health and safety qualification, which will enable workers to ensure that their individual and collective actions contribute to safety in the workplace and that they understand their responsibilities. It’s a high-impact programme designed to be fun and get people fully involved. The first-class, jargon-free content is based on what people need to know in practice, and not off-putting legal language.
What’s Included in the Course?
- Identify the hazards and evaluate risks in the workplace
- Use appropriate workplace precautions for specific risks or seek advice on workplace precautions
- Assist managers in preparing written risk assessments
- Follow their organisation’s health and safety policy
- Co-operate and communicate on health and safety matters
- Carry out work activities without risk to themselves or others
- Report relevant accidents and incidents, monitor their own activities, and assist managers in active monitoring
How Long is an IOSH Working Safely Certificate Valid For?
The IOSH Managing Safely certificate is an open qualification, as long as you continue your own Career Professional Development (CPD) and be a member of IOSH there is no need to attend a Refresher course.
Prerequisites
No prior knowledge of health and safety is required to attend the IOSH Working Safely course, however a good standard of English is recommended. The qualification is suitable for anyone requiring and introduction to health and safety in the workplace.
