Course Content
The NEBOSH Construction Certificate is made up of one central unit CN1: Managing Construction Health and Safety. The unit covers 13 elements and covers critical construction health and safety issues, including CDM regulation, risk assessment and management, safety culture, and hazard control.

Managing Construction Health and Safety
The sole unit will cover the entire course involving topics such as CDM regulation, hazard control and the importance of risk management.
Assessment
CN1
Digital Assessment
A scenario based risk assessment exercise, followed by a closing interview. For the CN1 digital assessment learners will have 48 hours to access, complete and submit their paper starting at 11am (UK time) on the examination date.
NEBOSH Exam
The CN1 open book exam is completed electronically and submitted through the NEBOSH exam portal. You will have 48 hours from 11am (UK time) on exam day to complete and submit your exam paper.
You will be presented with a scenario describing a realistic workplace and situation, and will be asked to carry out a series of tasks using the scenario provided and your knowledge gained throughout your learning and revision.
You must successfully pass this unit in order to achieve your full NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification.
A closing interview, asking questions about your submission completes the assessment.
Exam Fees
Please note that the NEBOSH Construction Certificate exam fees are not included within the cost. Exam fees are an additional and are paid directly when you are ready to sit the examinations.
Prerequisites
The NEBOSH Construction Certificate course no longer requires learners to pass the NEBOSH General Certificate before starting this course. We do however recommend all learners have a suitable level of understanding in the English language.

Devices
All of our online learning courses have been developed to give the best learning experience on a desktop or laptop computer, but some of them can now be accessed on tablets, like the iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab. There are a wide range of tablets on the market and although the courses should work on all of them, to get the best mobile experience we recommend a few things:
- A minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 600, with a recommended screen resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher.
- Generally the standard web browser is the best one to use, so on an iPad, for example, use Safari. You may also need to change a setting in the browser to allow cookies from 3rd parties (you definitely will with Safari).
- The courses are accessed most easily when connected to Wi-Fi rather than mobile data networks. If you do access via a mobile data network please note that you may be charged by your service provider, depending on your contract.
The courses are best viewed in landscape but on occasion you might need to turn to portrait, to close a pop-up for example.
