Emergency First Aid at Work Course in Wolverhampton

The one-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course qualifies delegates to act as an emergency first aider in the workplace. It is the appropriate level of training where a workplace first aid needs assessment identifies a lower-risk environment.

Course Content

• The role and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
• Assessing an incident and managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and safe use of an AED
• Choking, shock and seizures
• Bleeding, minor injuries and burns
• Recording and reporting

Assessment and Certification

Assessment is continuous throughout the day, with practical demonstrations and written questions. Successful delegates receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate valid for three years. HSE recommends annual refresher training during that period.

All you need to complete our e-learning courses is a computer, tablet or smartphone, an internet connection and Zoom.

To attend a remote online course delegates must have access to a computer, laptop, tablet or phone that uses a microphone and webcam.

E-learning is flexible, efficient, and cost-effective, meaning you can progress through the modules at your own pace, at your own time to fit the training in around your work and personal life.

Short online courses also help employers to demonstrate that they have fulfilled their legal duties to ensure their personnel have been adequately trained.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
