Manual Handling Course in Wolverhampton
This short Manual Handling course covers the practical skills and legal background needed by anyone who lifts, carries, pushes or pulls loads at work. Manual handling remains one of the most common causes of workplace injury in the UK, and the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 require employers to provide training where a risk assessment identifies one.

Course Content
- Manual handling law and employer and employee duties
- The structure of the spine and how handling injuries occur
- Manual handling risk assessment and the TILE approach
- Safe lifting technique, demonstrated and practised
- Team handling and the use of handling aids
- Reporting injuries and near misses
Assessment and Certification
Assessment is by practical demonstration during the session. Successful delegates receive a Manual Handling certificate. Refresher training is typically recommended every three years, or sooner if tasks or equipment change.

Once the courses have been completed, a confirmation of results can be saved or printed as evidence. This can then be kept on record as evidence of suitable training.
